Defence IQ’s Military Radar conference is now in its 8th year

_home

It is well known that modern, effective radar systems on air, sea and land platforms are a crucial force multiplier. Whether the threat is a supersonic fighter or a lone insurgent, advanced radar capability is the key to successful detection and targeting.

Radar technology continues to evolve rapidly. New Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar technology has triggered a race to equip front line platforms with the best systems in existence. Through the wall radar is set to revolutionise urban combat tactics imminently. All while the modernisation of surveillance radar networks marches on.

However, there can be a major disconnect between the industry and research experts developing future systems and the needs of military end-users. Since 2004 Defence IQ has been seeking to close this gap and ensure the success of future military operations, by bringing together the entire military radar community to discuss cutting-edge technical developments in the light of operational needs.

Through a combination of technical examination sessions and key case studies, we will identify how military radar is currently being used, where the growth areas are for new technology, and what programs are breaking new ground.
